That Mamma

I want to be that mamma
:: the mamma that has 4 or 5 kids
:: the mamma that homeschools them all
:: the mamma that has a garden large enough the feed her entire family - plus some of the neighborhood
:: the mamma who cloth diapers
:: the mamma who bakes enough bread that she never has to buy any from the grocery store
:: the mamma who makes enough jam during the summer that it lasts all year
:: the mamma who makes beautiful quilts for all of her children
:: the mamma who sews most of their clothing
:: the mamma who has dinner ready when daddy gets off work
:: the mamma who keeps her house tidy
:: the mamma who raises her children to be well-rounded, self-assured, creative adults.

I have reached approximately 0 of my goals. But I am working on it!

What kind of mamma do you want to be?

Whew! That's some list. But the good thing is that it can be achieved. A friend of mine has the four kids, stays at home, spends 1-on-1 time with each one, etc. Not sure how she learned to manage, but she has and for that she is one of my inspirations!

No kids here, so I'll wait to answer you qs. lol

Sounds like you want to be my grandmother! Women were "that mamma" for hundreds of generations, so if they can do it, so can you!!! It's just that our (and our mothers') generation wasn't raised to be that way. You'll have to train yourself and find a group of women who are doing those things.

I want to be the mama who is awesome at her career, keep her house clean, fixes dinner every other night, helps with homework every night, saves enough for the kids' college educations, and raises smart, happy, healthy, out-going, kind-hearted children.
