I am finally leaving my job....

My last day here Friday and on Monday, I am gonna be a high school math teacher.

After a gazillion phone calls, a thousand interviews, and a lot of anxiety, I finally landed a teaching job that is approximately 0.6 miles from my house and pays about half my current salary.

I am excited, and scared, and SAD! I really didn't expect to be sad. As I started telling people that I am leaving - [and no not just the project, I am leaving this job], I just got so sad. Besides the fact that I really am gonna miss my co-workers [most of them, anyway], I really HATE goodbyes. I remember when I was in college and my little brother would come and visit me, I ALWAYS cried when he left. I am such a sap.

I don't know what I will do when my students leave each year.

Congrats girl, but I am already missing you stopping by my office, closing the door, sitting down and saying guess what! Your guess whats made my week. BTW, I love your blog, and I will be a frequent visitor to see how those kids are driving you crazy. I pray you don't get any poster kids for sterilization your first year.
