A few of you asked me what E thought about me working on this post. (Ok, fine. Just one of you asked me, but just in case anyone else wants to know his take on it, I got him to write a post on what he thinks.)
Don't do it. All the cons will apply at this new site and will prevent you from being the best employee you can be. I sat in on a presentation by 20-year veteran community college instructor; he said for-profit institutions are on the hot seat and may not even exist in another 5 years; your ethical oppositions are valid.
Those students have other places to go; they could enroll in community college. The students are there because they don't want to put in the work and really learn, but still get (fake, worthless) degrees.Don't do it. Your talents as a good teacher don't fit in well with the culture of that institution. They want good entertainers; whether or not you can really teach, or really know the material, is of no consequence...whatsoever.
There are other options. Doesn't your "hubster" has an interview this month to teach part-time at a "real" college? More pay, less work, no brainer.

E is a smart man. You can tell him I said so. :-)
Well alright E!!
He's right. Zack and I watched a documentary on for-profit institutions and how they are only interested in getting students funding so that they can give them degrees that really don't count. I'll send you the name of it if I can find/remember it.
