Flower Button Hair Clip Tutorial

Welcome to Day 3 of Hair Clip week!

Today, I am going to show you how to make this:




It is slightly more difficult than the other hair clips - but follow my instructions and you will be making flowers in no time!


Materials needed:
Small amount of yarn,
Crochet Hook: size J
Needle and thread
Hair Clip
Button
Crochet Circle  (see how to make the crochet circle here)
Scissors
Glue Gun

Step 1: chain 2
Step 2: 6 sc in second chain from hook
Step 3: chain 3
Step 4: sl st in next sc, (chain 3, sl st in next sc) around
Step 5: you should have 6 loops of 3 chains each.  5 dc in next loop.
Step 6: slip in the space between the loops.  There is a white x marking the spot in box 6.
Step 7: repeat steps 5 and 6 around.  you should have 6 petals
Step 8: weave in yarn
Step 9: arrange the flower.
Step 10: sew the layers together, then sew on clip
Step 11: Place a small amount of glue in the small space under the clip and then on the threads to secure them.

Another great one. While my hand heals, I will just enjoy reading about all the crafting you're doing. I'm also reading up and stashing other tutorials for when I'm back in action. I feel like sewing, and if I can manage it with this splint, I'll sneak it in, but someone else will have to cut for me. lol
