Hat for the boy - and sewalong...

I made Zeke a hat last night... let me know if you want the pattern (it was super simple).

 

AND I found a boy sewalong to join...

Bilingual Baby and Thar She Sews are hosting sew-along!  I am excited because this will be the motivation I need to make something (complex) from a pattern and for my son.  The only thing I've made from a pattern is a super cute (and SUPER simple) dress.

The sewalong starts tomorrow.  So, I gotta go get the book (Sewing for Boys) today!  Are you participating in the sewalong? 

Update:  I could not find the book (on time), so I won't be doing this round.  :(.  I wish I had known about it earlier. Oh, well.  I will keep my eyes opened for more sewalongs.  And if you hear of anything - please tell me!
