Even though I swore I would never do it again, I took Zekey strawberry picking today. Zekey AND Anaya. At one point, I was bending over, picking strawberries, while nursing Anaya and calling for Zeke to stay close. It was CRAZY. And my back still hurts. Needless to say, only 1/3 of my jam this year will come from strawberries actually picked by me. I ended up buying a couple of gallons pre-picked and picking one gallon.
I am so glad we went. Especially, since it gave me a chance to hang out with other mamas at Zeke's school!
Awww, I can't remember the last time I went picking for anything! Now you have inspired me. It's time to get my Martha Stewart on. lol
