So, I am STILL very excited about my doll making and I am impressed (if I do say so myself) with my talent increasing! I have come up with a great idea to make the dolls 'naked' and then add clothes made out of fabric. That way, I have a greater selection of outfits to give the dolls more personality. There is one problem, however. I cannot sew garments worth a lick.
My niece's first birthday is next week and I finished a doll for her last night. I tried to make her a cute girly dress; the doll, I like - the dress, not cute. Maybe when my sister comes in town she can whip me up a pattern to make something nice. I may just end up giving her the doll naked. :( Or maybe I could just make her a scarf. lol!
